ARCHIVES
The Society's Archive consists mainly of items donated over the years such as
Show Cards
Song Sheets
Photographs
Programmes
Posters
Books
Costumes (including such treasured items as Little Tich’s boots
and stagewear belonging to Bud Flanagan and Max Miller)
Boxes of memorabilia relating to specific performers, etc.
Unfortunately we are unable to exhibit the items as we would like due to lack of space. All the memorabilia is safe and secure in various containers and is stored in a 'safe store' in the suburbs of London. Access by tube train is comparatively easy.
Anybody anxious to gain access to the Store for research purposes should, in the first instance, contact David Reed, the BMHS Archivist to arrange a convenient visiting time. David would also love to hear from anybody who is wishing to donate items to the Society from the music hall and variety eras.
